What does "Build It Green" mean? Am I putting in adobe bricks? Green Friendly drywall? Organic Construction products?

No, Green Building has more to do with conserving energy and maintaining a lower carbon footprint in and around your home. It involves simple and useful changes to your current home that will save you money in the future. It involves installing better insulation around all of your Heating and Air-Conditioning vents and piping. It involves sealing your windows properly from outside and inside air escape routes. It allows for us to balance your thermostats to ensure you are not wasting power and money trying to be comfortable in your home. It involves having your light fixtures changed to run on lower wattage and with better clarity so that you can save costs and energy throughout your home. There are tons of opportunities for us to help you save money without rebuilding your home completely.

Going Green is important to us! Why? Because the environment dictates it. Also we have more and more questions from our customers about saving energy and being aware of how much we are taking from the power grid. As a company we have invested a great deal of time, money and resources in being certified and educated to help our community be prepared to Go Green! Going Green to us also means we are giving money back to our clients long term. We will continue to work to maintain and standard of excellence in this that cannot be matched anywhere else in the Construction field.

The most wanted change to a home comes to the Kitchens and Baths. We spend a great deal of time learning as much as we can about the best and most cost effective solutions for our clients. We participate in the NKBA because we feel it is the best source for us to rely upon for continued education and ideas. We also believe in working on projects that fit with our expertise and if there is something we are not apt or able to do this organization can help us to find the right people to complete the job. We always want to be sure that we are doing what is in the best interest of our clients. You are the most valuable reflection of who we are.

The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) protects consumers by licensing and regulating California's construction industry. There are more than 310,000 licensed contractors in the state, in 43 different licensing classifications. In addition to educating consumers about contractors and construction law, CSLB activities include administering examinations to test prospective licensees, issuing licenses, investigating complaints against licensed and unlicensed contractors, issuing citations, suspending or revoking licenses, and seeking administrative, criminal, and civil sanctions against violators. In FY 2007/08 CSLB obtained more than $35.2 million in ordered restitution for consumers. Konstrukt Development has never had to face any restitution to any of our clients!

The CSLB's Statewide Investigative Fraud Team (SWIFT) works to eliminate unlicensed contractors working in California. Undercover sting and sweep operations are conducted weekly around the state. Konstrukt Development has never been involved in any investigations by SWIFT.

On this Web site you can find educational materials about hiring contractors and the construction process. You can also check the status of a contractor's license, find other important Contractors License Law information and file a complaint.

We share a direct link to our license so as to ensure you we are maintaining perfect standing with the State of California. The CSLB is an independent organization. We feel that whomever you chose to work on and in your home should be in perfect standing with this organization. We will stand behind out marks from the state.
